Mezcal Guerrero

The decanter is an artisanal piece that pays tribute to the ancestral wisdom, tender nature, and warrior spirit of the Mexican woman––qualities that have made her the heart of Guerrero's culture. The green color represents jade, a precious stone with extreme value to our ancestral cultures and a symbol of eternity. The 4-petaled flowers covering the decanter represent the Fifth Sun–a pre-Hispanic god known as the beginning of everything. The colorful cap features the figure of a humming bird, the fabled messenger of the Gods, reaffirming its mystical and celestial connection to this Mexican region.

Clase Azul Mezcal Guerrero reveals one of Mexico's best-kept secrets: the wondrous state of Guerrero, a little-explored region that shows us another facet of Mexican culture. This new member of the Clase Azul family was inspired by the singularity of Guerrero’s landscapes, gastronomy, art, and heritage –– but also by the strength and leadership of the women of this region.  

Mezcal Guerrero is a truly unique piece. Beyond its beautiful decanter, its majestic flavor comes from a very rare variety of agave: the papalote agave. This plant grows wild in the Mountain Range of the State of Guerrero, where the notes combine the sea's climate and flavor with the green forests' freshness.

The raw beauty of black clay inspires its dark and textured decanter. This special edition is hand-sculpted by artisans from a small community of the Mazahuas in Mexico. Artisans from the Huichol (Wixárika) people are the creators of its unique and colorful cap.

Mezcal Clase Azul Durango Edition is made from Cenizo Agave, a variety of plant that grows wildly in the state of Durango, a region of northern Mexico. The mineral richness of its soil and natural springs sources bestow distinctive strength and complexity to its notes. The distillate is completely artisanal, giving it a remarkable profile and paying tribute to the millenary tradition of making mezcal.

Hand-made and dressed in the most intricate yet delicate artistry of our artisans, its decoration includes three precious metals: pure platinum, a silver medallion, and a 24-karat gold label. 

Clase Azul Ultra is the crown jewel of our portfolio, with an exquisite tequila and decanter exclusively designed for collectors around the world. 

Its journey lasts almost 14 years. Five of those years are spent inside a Spanish barrel that previously contained sherry, adding a sublime touch.

Its external beauty tells the story of its roots. At the bottom, the spirals superimposed on the raw clay symbolize the earth's fertility. The thin blue line is representative of the water which gives life to the agave. In the center, the piña symbolizes the heart and soul of tequila. On the back, the 4-petal flower is the traditional Mazahua representation of the Sun and its fullness in the center of space and time. Lastly, a 24K gold-plated, distinctive feathered design of the Clase Azul family.

Clase Azul Añejo is proof that the best things in life take time. Its taste and decanter are a tribute to the Mazahua indigenous culture. Its intense amber color and its complex aromatic range result from a magnificent 25-month journey in bourbon barrels. 

Clase Azul Añejo combines art, history, and tequila of the highest quality, making it an expression that truly honors Mexican culture.

The magic of Clase Azul is not limited to the quality of its tequila. Its beautiful ceramic decanters are molded and decorated entirely by hand by communities of Mexican artisans, making each one of them a unique piece.

Clase Azul Reposado is a symbol of the tradition and culture of Mexico. Made with slow-cooked Blue Agave, our ultra-premium reposado tequila is a unique and incomparable piece. The decanter’s traditional feathered paint design, its distinctive cobalt blue color, and the tequila’s original flavor make it an icon of the Clase Azul family. 

Masterfully aged for eight months in bourbon barrels, this exceptionally smooth tequila is recognized worldwide as one of the best reposados.
